Diana Hudson

Diana has been teacher for over 30 years and was head of biology at a grammar school. She has also taught medical students and adults on access courses. Later in her career she trained to teach learners with specific learning difficulties (SpLD) and combined being a special educational needs coordinator (SENCO) and a biology teacher.

She wrote Specific learning Difficulties – What Teachers Need to Know, published by Jessica Kingsley in 2016. She is now concentrating on helping teachers to understand how learners with SpLD think differently, to appreciate their strengths and to support their learning more effectively. She has delivered teacher training insets at schools, university teacher training courses and to the Association of Science Education (ASE).

Diana has a PhD in zoology and a diagnosis of dyslexia.
